I'm sorry I can't be who you want me to be

I can only be me

I'm sorry I can't be how you wished me to be

I can only do my best 

I can only give you what I am 

I am sorry that is not enough for you 

I wish it was 

But I can't give you something that I'm not 

I would be betraying myself 

And I would be unauthentic with you 

I would have to be fake 

And I can't do that either... 

I can only do my best

And every time i know that I haven't 

I feel like I failed 

But I try again 

And next time a bit better 

And that is all I can do 

Then I remember that 

That IS doing my best...
